Action Care conducted five Start Early seminars throughout the UAE (April - May 2010)
With the sponsorship of Boeing, Action Care conducted five Start Early seminars throughout the UAE. The seminars focused on providing training and assistance to parents, educators and caregivers, equipping them with the skills needed to make an early investment in the education and development of the children in their care.

Start Early trainers organized and conducted a charity event at the W hotel in Doha for 20 orphan children from the Dreima orphanage. The children enjoyed games, a delicious meal, and gifts.

Sponsored by Boeing and in collaboration with the Qatar Foundation’s Social Development Center and Families Counseling Center in Qatar, Action Care trainers conducted Qatar’s first Start Early seminar for teachers, mothers, professional educators and caregivers in Doha. A total of 80 attendees attended these two seminars.

UAE Eductional Research Project (February – March 2010)
Action Care conducted an extensive research project on behalf of the newly established MAF Charity Foundation in Dubai. This fact-finding mission took us to every emirate in the UAE and allowed us to meet and interview many individuals in the public and private sector.

I must start by saying that I was very hesitant to participate and be a volunteer as I have never been involved in something like this. But doing so has totally changed my thinking. It opened my eyes to see that it was fun being surrounded by children who are so enthusiastic in wanting to learn so much more of not just a language but also interacting with us, all from totally different cultures and background. Yes, I am so glad that I did volunteer, even if I have not made a great impact on their lives, they definitely left me walking out that night with a smile on my face and sweet memories that I will carry with me for a long time. Thank you Action Care for giving me this opportunity.
